The team names and the first player allocations in The Hundred have been confirmed at the tournament’s official launch on Thursday, October 3.
Each side has been allocated one England Test-contracted player, with teams having priority over their local players. They have also selected two ‘local icon’ players, contracted to one of their constituent counties.
The rest of the squads will be confirmed at the televised draft on October 20, the first of its kind in British sporting history, with teams also able to pick one ‘wildcard’ during next year’s T20 Blast.
