The Hundred 2024 draft: List of players, start time and where to watch live

The Hundred draft 2024
by Wisden Staff 2 minute read

The draft for the 2024 Hundred will take place today (March 20) at The Shard in London, with a number of big name players set to be snapped up. Here’s all you need to know about the draft, including where to watch, start time and players involved.

Each of the eight Hundred sides have named the players they wish to retain from the 2023 season. Women’s teams can keep a maximum of eight players in their squad while men’s teams can keep ten plus one centrally contracted England player. Following the retention deadline in February, all squads will be completed in the draft as teams pick players one by one.

The order in which teams will pick players is based off their finishing position in the previous season. Because Northern Superchargers finished in last place in the 2023 men’s tournament, they will get the first pick of the draft, with Birmingham Phoenix getting first pick for the women’s draft.

The draft will get underway at 5:30pm GMT today (Wednesday, March 20), and will be available to watch on the Sky Sports App for those in the UK. It will also be broadcast live on Sky Sports Youtube channel and on TikTok.

There are 890 players from 22 different counties in the draft, with Babar Azam, Jason Roy, Meg Lanning, Smriti Mandhana and David Warner all up for grabs. Player reserve prices in the men’s draft range from £125,000 to £40,000. The women’s draft reserve prices range from £50,000 to £11,000.
