The schedule for the first edition of The Hundred, ECB’s city-based 100 ball tournament, has been announced – here’s the full list of fixtures for the 2021 edition.
The launch of Hundred was postponed from 2020, it’s original inaugural year, to 2021, due to the wide-ranging impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, including factors such as spectators and player availability.
The competition, featuring women’s and men’s teams from eight cities, will begin on July 21 and run for a month until August 21, with the opening fixtures being the women’s clash between Oval and Manchester.
The group fixtures will end on August 18. Both the men’s and women’s finals will be held on August 21 at Lord’s.
The 2021 draft was held behind closed doors on February 22, with the set of picked players expected to be released the following day.
Ticket sales for The Hundred will commence from April 7 for those who have signed up through the priority window, while the general sale will begin two weeks later, on April 21.
