Some of the stars of the Women’s T20 World Cup have been unveiled as the latest signings in The Hundred, including the Australia trio of Beth Mooney, Ashleigh Gardner and Nicola Carey.
Mooney, who was the player of the tournament at the World Cup after finishing atop the run charts, will join international teammates Meg Lanning and Jess Jonassen at Welsh Fire, when The Hundred begins this July.
Gardner will be the second overseas player at Birmingham Phoenix after New Zealand’s Sophie Devine, while Carey is all set to link up with international teammate Alyssa Healy at Northern Superchargers.

South Africa’s star all-rounder Marizanne Kapp will team up with her international captain Dane van Niekerk at Oval Invincibles, while fellow South African Chloe Tryon has signed up with London Spirit, making for a potentially devastating line-up, along with England captain Heather Knight and West Indies big-hitter Deandra Dottin.
“It’s fantastic to see five more international stars signing up to play in The Hundred this summer,” said Beth Barrett-Wild, The Hundred’s head of the women’s competition. “The competition is really building momentum, and it’s very exciting to see the growing list of world class talent involved across the eight teams.
