MCC bounced back on day three of the County Champion match against Surrey, as Dom Sibley struck his fourth first-class century in six innings.
After conceding a first-innings deficit of 255 runs, Sibley and his Warwickshire teammate Will Rhodes put on an opening stand of 190 for MCC, before Scott Borthwick dismissed Rhodes for 88. Sibley, who moved from Surrey to Warwickshire in 2017, finished the day unbeaten on 102, his innings comprising 11 boundaries.

The earlier part of the day was dominated by Ollie Pope, who reached his maiden first-class double century having added to his overnight score of 183 not out. While Jamie Smith was only able to add four to his total of 123 from the previous day, Pope finished on 251, his 297-ball stay at the crease featuring 23 boundaries and six sixes.
Surrey were all out for 520, with Stephen Parry picking up three wickets to finish as the pick of the MCC bowlers.

MCC will begin day four on 221-1, with Sibley at the crease alongside Essex’s Tom Westley, who is unbeaten on 13.
