The 2021 County Championship, the 121st edition of the competition, will be telecasted live on TV, with streaming options also available.

18 teams will contest in the tournament, with 90 first-class matches scheduled to be played from April to October. The teams are divided into three groups of six each. After the first phase, the top two teams from each group will proceed to Division One, where they will play their final four matches.
The groups for the contest were decided based on the team performances in the 2019 County Championship and the 2020 Bob Willis Trophy.

Group 1: Derbyshire, Durham, Essex, Nottinghamshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire
Group 2: Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Leicestershire, Middlesex, Somerset, Surrey
Group 3: Glamorgan, Kent, Lancashire, Northamptonshire, Sussex, Yorkshire

The 2021 County Championship will be available to watch via various live streams. Details are available on the ECB website, with most able to be synchronised with BBC commentary, beginning with the first day of action that can be found here.
