Australia will kick off their World Cup campaign against hosts India at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on October 8. Here are the latest pictures and details of the Australian cricket team’s jersey design for the ICC World Cup 2023.
After releasing the kit for the 2023/24 season, the five-time world champions unveiled their 2023 World Cup jersey across their social media platforms. The uniform featured their trademark green and gold colours, symbolising the nation’s diverse landscape. Paying ode to the Aboriginals, Aunty Fiona Clarke integrated some First Nations artwork on the side of the jersey.
The logo of the official kit sponsor, Asics, is embossed on one of the sleeves. Another sleeve sports the global technology company and existing CA partner, HCLTech.
In the 2019 World Cup, Australia crashed out of the tournament after England beat them in the semifinal comprehensively. However, they redeemed themselves with the 2021 T20 World Cup and 2023 World Test Championship triumphs.
As a preparatory measure for the marquee event, the most successful team in the history of the World Cup is touring India for a three-match ODI series between September 22 and 27.
