The Africa Continental Cup 2023, a T20 tournament played by four African teams, is scheduled to start tomorrow (June 9). Here is the Africa T20 Continent Cup 2023 schedule, full fixture list, and match timings.

The Africa T20 Continental Cup is a men’s T20I competition that is scheduled to be played between African nations in Nairobi, Kenya from June 9-June 21, 2023.

Participating teams

Six African teams were originally scheduled to participate in this tournament, that is being organised by the International League T20 (ILT20), including Botswana, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, and Nigeria.

However, Nigeria and Tanzania have withdrawn from the tournament leaving just four teams in the fray: hosts Kenya, Botswana, Rwanda, and Uganda.

Format

With the original plan of six teams, the tournament was supposed to be played in a single round-robin format followed by semi-finals and a final.

However, due to the withdrawal of Nigeria, the format was first changed to a double round-robin followed by a final, and later when Tanzania withdrew as well, the format was finally changed to a triple round-robin format league stage and a final.

A total of 19 matches will be played in the African Continental Cup 2023 starting June 9, with the final on June 21. All matches will be played at the Gymkhana Club Ground in Nairobi.
