This year’s U19 Asia Cup marks the tenth edition of the tournament. First held in 1989 in Bangladesh, the ACC has organised eight more subsequent editions before this one, with the last in 2021 in the UAE.
Eight teams equally divided into two groups, with Afghanistan, India, Nepal, and Pakistan in Group A and Bangladesh, Japan, Sri Lanka, and hosts UAE slotted in Group B, will compete against each other for the silverware.
A total of 12 group matches will be played between December 8 and 13. The two top-ranked teams from each group will march into the semi-finals scheduled on December 15. The final will be played on December 17 in Dubai.

Three venues in the United Arab Emirates will host the competition. The ICC Academy Oval 1 and 2 will organise the group fixtures and the semi-finals, and the Dubai International Cricket Stadium will host the final.
India have entered the U19 Asia Cup 2023 as the defending champions owing to their victory against Sri Lanka in the 2021 final in Dubai under the leadership of Yash Dhull, who also led the team to the men’s U19 World Cup title in the West Indies as well. They are also the most successful side in the tournament’s history, having won it a record eight out of nine times.

Fans can enjoy live-streaming of the U19 Asia Cup 2023 on the Asian Cricket Council’s official YouTube channel. However, the matches won’t be telecast live.
