Wiaan Mulder triple hundred record

Live updates: South Africa stand-in captain Wiaan Mulder has scored a record-shattering triple hundred in the second Test against Zimbabwe in Bulawayo - here are all the records Mulder broke.

Mulder was named stand-in captain after Keshav Maharaj was ruled out of the second Test with injury. He was handed a gift by Zimbabwe early on, who won the toss and chose to field first. Mulder was at the crease early, in the 10th over at the fall of Tony dr Zorzi's wicket. He added 184 runs for the third wicket with David Bedingham and 217 for the fourth with Lhuan-dre Pretorius, both of whom made 82 and 78 respectively.

In the process, Mulder kept passing one milestone after the other. He reached his first 100 off 116 balls, second off 98 balls, and third off just 83, all while leading he South African side for the first time in Test cricket.

At lunch on day two, Mulder declared on 367, just 33 runs short of breaking Brian Lara's all-time Test best of 400.
