IRE vs ZIM 2024: A new Test venue
This will be the second men's Test match Ireland have ever contested on home soil, and the first since 2018. It will also be the first Test ever played in Northern Ireland, with the previous Test match played in Malahide, Dublin.
Ireland came into this game with their most recent Test resulting in their first ever Test match win. They secured a six-wicket victory against Afghanistan at The Tolerance Oval earlier this year.
Zimbabwe meanwhile are chasing their first Test match win since 2021, when they beat Afghanistan by 10 wickets in Abu Dhabi. Since then, they lost the following match to Afghanistan, as well as losing to Pakistan, Bangladesh and the West Indies. This will, however, be the first time they've faced Ireland in a Test match.

Ireland will be without their star quick-bowler Josh Little for the game, as he honours his Major League Cricket commitments. Included in Ireland's squad is uncapped leg-spinner Gavin Hoey, with Matthew Humphrey's also back in the squad.
In the Zimbabwe squad, Clive Madande, Brian Bennett and Johnathan Campbell have all secured maiden Test call-ups. Uncapped wicketkeeper Joylord Gumbie, who has been in Test squads before without making the playing XI, is also in the 15-player squad.
