It’s the first time Zimbabwe travel to Australia for an ODI series since 2004, and the first time the two sides feature in a bilateral one-day clash since 2014. The three games will all be held in Townsville and will be followed by a three-match ODI series between Australia and New Zealand.
The hosts will be featuring a near-full-strength team for the fixtures, barring a couple of absences. Pat Cummins, the Test captain, has been rested, while Travis Head misses out due to the birth of his child. In the Zimbabwe camp, Craig Ervine, Tendai Chatara, Wellington Masakadza and Milton Shumba all miss out due to various injuries. Regis Chakabva will be leading the side.
