124 players went under the hammer in the Women’s Premier League 2025 auction in Bengaluru. Here are the top five most expensive purchases at the auction.

Simran Shaikh - Gujarat Giants (Rs 1.90 crore)

Simran Shaikh emerged as the biggest winner of the day with Gujarat Giants coughing up a whopping Rs 1.90 crore for her services. They were embroiled in a tussle with Delhi Capitals for the services of the lower-order hitter who was acquired for just Rs 10 lakh by UP Warriorz in the inaugural WPL auction. The uncapped Indian has played just nine WPL matches, making 29 runs at a strike rate of 60.41.

Deandra Dottin - Gujarat Giants (Rs 1.70 crore)

One of only three players with a reserve price of Rs 50 lakh, Gujarat Giants beat UP Warriorz in a fiercely contested auction to snatch the player from the Caribbean. Giants had previously acquired Deandra Dottin for Rs 60 lakhs in the inaugural WPL auction but she was controversially released just days before the tournament began. 33-year-old Dottin, a Women’s T20 World Cup winner, was also the first woman to score a century in T20Is.

G Kamalini - Mumbai Indians (Rs 1.60 crore)

Mumbai Indians shelled out Rs 1.60 crore to beat Delhi Capitals’ interest and acquire promising teenager G Kamalini. Kamalini scored 311 runs in eight matches and helped Tamil Nadu win the domestic U19 tournament in October. The 16-year-old also been selected for India’s U19 Asia Cup squad and had previously trained at the Chennai Super Kings academy.

Prema Rawat - Royal Challengers Bangalore (Rs 1.20 crore)

Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Delhi Capitals to the signing of Prema Rawat for Rs 1.20 crore. Rawat starred for Mussoorie Thunders and led them to the inaugural Uttarakhand Premier League title this year.

A leg spinner, she picked up four wickets in three matches in that tournament and she is also a brilliant fielder. While the defending champions already have Asha Sobhana, her injury has forced the management to add depth to this profile.

N Charani - Delhi Capitals (Rs 55 lakh)

Delhi Capitals were successful in landing 20-year-old N Charani for Rs 55 lakh with Mumbai Indians also interested in her services. The uncapped all-rounder had a base price of Rs 10 lakh and the two-time WPL finalists have found a backup for Radha Yadav.
