The list of players shortlisted for the auction was released on December 7, just over a week before the auction. There have been a few significant releases by the franchises, including the likes of Issy Wong, Lauren Bell and Sneh Rana.

West Indies' star all-rounder Deandra Dottin will be part of the auction, with the highest possible base price of INR 50 lakhs. She is joined in that price bracket by Heather Knight of England and Lizelle Lee of South Africa.

Three players from Associate nations – Sarah Bryce (Scotland), Samaira Dharnidharka (UAE) and Theertha Satish (UAE) – are also part of the auction, at in the lowest price bracket of INR 10 lakhs.

A total of 124 players will go under the hammer, with 19 spots available to be filled. The full, updated squad lists for each team can be found here.

Gujarat Giants have the most money to spend at the auction, with INR 4.4 crore. They are closely followed by UP Warriorz (INR 3.9 crore), and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (INR 3.25 crore). Mumbai Indians (INR 2.65 crore) and Delhi Capitals (INR 2.5 crore) bring up the rear.
