This is how the teams stand after the league stage of the 2025 edition of the Women’s Premier League.
Defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru beat Mumbai Indians by 11 runs in the last match of the league stage of WPL 2025. This helped the RCB escape the last spot and finish fourth out of five teams. The result also meant that MI remained tied on points with Delhi Capitals but behind on net run rate.
For the third consecutive time, thus, DC finished at the top of the points table and qualified directly for the final, while MI finished second (and will have to play the Eliminator) for the third time in the running. Gujarat Giants, meanwhile, will play the Eliminator for the first time.
The pattern of WPL's points tables over the years
In fact, the end-of-league points table has followed a pattern throughout the tournament. As mentioned above, DC have always topped the table and MI always finished second, but the third place has been shared by the three other sides. UP Warriorz had made it in 2023, RCB in 2024, and now GG in 2025. Among these, RCB went on to win both playoffs games to lift the trophy last year.
