When will the 2025 Women's Premier League auction take place?

A total of 120 cricketers will go under the hammer on December 15. Among them, 91 are Indian players and 29 foreigners. Scotland's Sarah Bryce, the younger sister of Kathryn Bryce, who represented Gujarat Giants last season, UAE's Samaira Dharnidharka and Theertha Satish are the three players from the Associate Members.

Across five teams a total of 19 slots are to be filled, of which overseas players can take five. Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Giants, Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru can sign up to a maximum of four players, while UP Warriorz have three vacancies.

West Indies' Deandra Dottin, England's Heather Knight and South Africa's Lizelle Lee have enlisted themselves at the highest base price of 50 lakh INR.

Lee recently made the headlines after her twin hundreds for the Hobart Hurricanes in the WBBL, becoming the first player to do so in the competition. Dottin was initially acquired by the Giants in the inaugural year but was controversially withdrawn from the squad before the tournament. She then went unsold the previous season. Knight, meanwhile, returns to the auction after withdrawing last season.

WPL 2025 auction: Which team has the biggest purse remaining?

The auction purse for this season has been increased to INR 15 crore from INR 13.5 crore in the previous edition and INR 12 crore in the first year.

The Giants will enter the auction with the biggest purse of INR 4.4 crore, with four slots to fill, two of which are designated for overseas players.
