Highest individual scores in women's T20s: Lizelle Lee enters top five with 150* in WBBL

Against Perth Scorchers in the 2024-25 WBBL, Lizelle Lee slammed 150 not out – the highest score in the history of women’s franchise cricket.

Hobart Hurricanes thrashed Perth Scorchers by 72 runs at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The Hurricanes amassed 203-3 after Scorchers captain Sophie Devine won the toss and opted to field. A substantial chunk of these came from Lizelle Lee, who hit 150 not out in 75 balls with 12 fours and 12 sixes.

None of her teammates made it to 25 (though, to be fair, none of them faced 20 balls either). Amidst the carnage, Chloe Ainsworth returned exceptional figures of 4-0-17-2.

The Scorchers went for quick runs and slumped to 63-6 before Ainsworth hit 41 in 27 balls to take them to 131. Heather Graham claimed 3-24, Lauren Smith 2-11, and Molly Strano 2-17.

Lee’s 150 not out is now a record in women’s franchise cricket. She went past Grace Harris’s 136 not out for the Brisbane Heat in the 2023-24 edition, also against the Scorchers.

Ash Gardner (10 sixes in a 52-ball 114 for the Sydney Sixers against the Melbourne Stars in 2017-18) is the only other batter to reach double figures.
