The second West Indies-South Africa Test starts on Thursday (August 15) in Guyana - here are the full forecast details, including the latest weather updates for day one of the second WI vs SA Test.

After a historic, rain-marred draw in the first Test in Port of Spain, action moves to Providence, Guyana for the series decider. South Africa came close to victory with an early last-day declaration, but could take only five wickets. Having finished on 201-5, the hosts would believe that they were in with a chance as well, needing only another 97 runs for victory before the match was called.

The forecast for the second Test isn't the greatest either, as rain is expected to play spoilsport during some parts of the game. AccuWeather predicts at least a 25 per cent chance of rain on all five days.

WI vs SA 2024 1st Test Day 1: What is the rain forecast during the game?

For the first day, AccuWeather predicts a 46 per cent chance of rain, the highest among all five days. With the match starting at 10 AM local time, the forecast for the first session is relatively dry with less than 10 per cent chance of rainfall. 

However, there's more than a decent chance for the second session to be impacted by rain, as according to AccuWeather, the chance of rainfall will hover between 44 and 51 per cent between 1 to 3 PM, before reducing towards the evening.
