Keacy Carty and Brandon King put on a huge match-winning partnership against England in the deciding ODI of the three-match series, sealing the scoreline in West Indies favour.
King and Carty came together during the powerplay after Evin Lewis was dismissed by Jamie Overton in his first over into the attack. West Indies were chasing 264 after England enjoyed an explosive finish to their innings, with Jofra Archer hitting a 17-ball 38. However, Lewis' was to be the last wicket for almost 34 overs, as the third-wicket duo powered West Indies' to the series win.
Coming in under some pressure after a lean ODI streak coming back from injury, King dug in early on. At one point, 17 overs into the chase, he had 36 runs off 51 balls before going on to reach his 50 nine balls later. Carty was also looking to soak up the pressure of England's bowlers, taking 62 balls to reach his own fifty.
As they both neared three figures and their partnership began to rocket up the West Indies' all-time list, both became more expansive. Carty whacked a six over deep mid-wicket in Topley's seventh over, before taking the final ball of the same over for four down the ground.
Carty also reached his hundred first, hitting a four off Jacob Bethell to reach his maiden ODI ton off 98 balls. It was his first international century in 30 caps across formats, and the fifth time he'd passed 50. King wasn't far behind, hitting two fours in quick succession to seal his third ODI century.
Their partnership also passed 200 in the same over King reached his century, and entered the top 10 highest men's ODI partnerships of all time for West Indies. It was broken, however, with 13 runs still needed for victory, Topley bowling King from nowhere.
While the wicket put paid to the partnership, Carty knocked off the remaining runs with seven overs to spare, taking West Indies to an eight-wicket win and a 2-1 series victory.
Full List: West Indies' highest men's ODI partnerships
Carty and King are the 11th pair ever to put together a men's ODI partnership of more than 200 for West Indies. Their 209 puts them above Desmond Haynes and Viv Richards in 1979, when they scored 205 against Australia.
However, they are a long way off the biggest partnership of all time for West Indies in the format. That belongs to Chris Gayle and Marlon Samuels for their epic 372-run stand against Zimbabwe in 2015, which is also the highest partnership in a men's ODI for any nation.
