West Indies will host Bangladesh in a three-match T20I series from December 15. Here are the full squad lists for the series, including injury updates and replacements.
When will the WI vs BAN 2024 T20Is be played?
The first ODI will be played on Sunday (December 16) followed by the second on Tuesday (December 17) and the third on Thursday (December 19). Arnos Vale Ground in Kingstown, St Vincent will host the three matches. All matches will start at 8:00 pm local time.
West Indies won the preceding ODIs 3-0 after debutant Amir Jangoo’s record ton took them to a victory in the final match.
WI vs BAN 2024 T20Is: Team News
West Indies will miss some key players for the series due to their commitment to the 2024 Big Bash League. Among the players to miss out are the experienced duo of Shai Hope and Sherfane Rutherford. Akeal Hosein will miss the final match for the same reason, with Jayden Seales replacing him. Batter Keacy Carty, part of the Bangladesh ODIs, has earned a maiden T20 call-up, while Johnson Charles returned from an injury break.
For Bangladesh, Litton Kumar Das will lead a 15-member squad. Mehidy Hasan Miraz was the stand-in captain for the Tests and ODIs on this tour, in place of regular skipper injured Najmul Hossain Shanto.
Soumya Sarkar, Afif Hossain, Shamim Hossain Patwari, Nasum Ahmed, Hasan Mahmud and Ripon Mondol have been recalled following the retirements of Shakib Al Hasan and Mahmudullah. Towhid Hridoy, Mustafizur Rahman, Shoriful Islam and Rakibul Hasan have been omitted.
South Africa have made nine changes from their previous ODI squad for the upcoming Pakistan series.
