Kevin Sinclair has been fined 15 percent of his match fee following the second Test against Bangladesh in Kingston, despite not actually being named on the team sheet for the game.
West Indies lost the match by 101 runs after they were bowled out by Bangladesh for less than 200 in each innings. Sinclair played no part with either bat or ball, and was only involved in the match as a sub fielder.
However, that hasn't stopped him from being punished in the sanctions announced by the ICC after the game. Sinclair was hit with a fine after he "ignored warnings from the on-field umpires and continued using aggressive language at the visiting players". His actions broke the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support personal - "disobeying an umpire's instruction during an international match". One demerit point has also been added to his disciplinary record.
The incident took place when Sinclair ignored a warning from the on-field umpire to stop using language deemed to be aggressive and harsh towards the Bangladesh batters. Sinclair accepted to the charge.
In addition to Sinclair's penalty, Jayden Seales was also met with a fine and a demerit point after the match. Seales took five wickets in the match, four of them coming in the first innings, but was fined 25 percent of his match fee for "making aggressive gestures towards the Bangladesh dressing room after taking a wicket".
With a significant win in Kingston, Bangladesh leveled the series and overtook West Indies to climb to second-last on the WTC points table.
