West Indies will tour the Netherlands for a three-match ODI series beginning on May 31 — here’s the full schedule, list of fixtures and match timings of NED vs WI 2022.

West Indies and the Netherlands cricket teams will take part in a short ODI series, with all three matches being a part of the ICC ODI Super League. The tournament will determine the top seven teams who will automatically qualify for the 2023 Men’s ODI World Cup, aside from hosts India.

The West Indies team will travel to the Netherlands for the first time ever for a bilateral series. They last toured the country in 1991, when the two sides had played a couple of 55-over friendly matches. West Indies and the Netherlands last faced off against each other in an ODI match in the 2011 World Cup.

The hosts have named a young squad that Pieter Seelaar will lead, as a number of experienced players are away due to the English County season. Colin Ackermann, Shane Snater, Roelof van der Merwe and Brandon Glover represent different county teams, and thus, will be unavailable. Their absence means batting all-rounder Teja Nidamanuru, opener Tonny Staal, and left-arm spinner Shariz Ahmad are all in line for debuts.

West Indies, on the other hand, will be led by Nicholas Pooran, with Shai Hope as the deputy to the skipper. Fast bowlers Jayden Seales, Shermon Lewis and Keacy Carty have been given maiden call-ups for the series, the latter being the first cricketer from St. Maarten to be picked in the senior team. Alzarri Joseph, who was a part of the 2022 IPL winners Gujarat Titans’ squad, is in the line-up too.

All matches will be played at the VRA Cricket Ground in Amstelveen.
