Watch: West Indies debutant Mikyle Louis produced a stunning bit of fielding to get rid of Shoaib Bashir on Day 2 of the first Test between England and West Indies at Lord's.

Having built up a healthy lead, England began to lose wickets towards the back end of their innings, but debutant Jamie Smith managed to hold firm at one end. After No.10 Shoaib Bashir walked out to the middle, Smith began to farm the strike and look for boundaries, while Bashir was intent on blocking.

Off the second ball of the 90th over, Smith cleared his front leg and swung hard at a full delivery from Jayden Seales, attempting to hit a second six in succession. The ball came off the bottom of the bat and went straight up in the air, but landed safely as the fielder at deep cover, Mikyle Louis, could not make up the ground to it.

The danger had not passed, though. Smith and Bashir were attempting a second run in order to get the former back on strike. It seemed relatively safe, especially with bowler Seales not backing up the stumps and instead standing mid-pitch. Despite being directed to throw at the keeper's end, Louis gathered the ball and let fly at the bowler's end.

With barely a stump and a half to aim at, he knocked one stump clean out of the ground, and Bashir was run out by a proverbial mile to leave England nine down. Louis took off in celebration, running all the way past the boundary rope to celebrate with his brother Jeremiah, a substitute for the West Indies.

England were soon bowled out, as Smith was caught on the boundary by Kirk McKenzie in the same over for 70, and England's innings ended with a lead of 250.
