England's first Test assignment of their home summer will be against the West Indies, in a three-match series in July. Here's the full schedule for the serie, including match venues and timings.
Following the conclusion of the T20 World Cup, England's next task will begin on July 10 at Lord's. Not only will the game kick off their Test match summer, but it will also be the final Test of James Anderson's career.
Anderson announced last month that he would play one last Test match at Lord's before hanging up his boots as England look towards the future of their bowling attack. The match promises to be filled with tributes to Anderson, who made his Test debut over two decades ago, fittingly at the same venue. Following Stuart Broad's retirement last summer, the match will complete England's transition away from their two fast-bowling stalwarts.
Following that match, England will have the opportunity to start the development of their bowling attack four days later at Trent Bridge with the second Test. The series will then conclude with the final Test at Edgbaston, which starts on July 26.
For the West Indies, this will be their first Test match since their landmark victory against Australia earlier this year. They won the second Test of that series by eight runs, Shamar Joseph taking seven wickets in the second innings to seal the result following a ten-wicket annihilation in the first.
