Watch: Michael Neser dismissed the in-form Kraigg Brathwaite with a beauty in his comeback game during the second day of the second Australia-West Indies Test to push the visitors on the back foot.
Neser, bowling his third over of the innings, dismissed West Indies skipper Brathwaite with a wobble-seam delivery that slightly moved away, to give his team the early advantage in the pink-ball Test. The fourth ball of the 14th over was bowled on off stump by Neser, which Brathwaite looked to defend on his front foot. However, he did not account for the movement, as the ball took his outside edge and flew to the wicketkeeper behind.
Brathwaite, who scored 64 and 110 in the first Test, was dismissed for a 48-ball 19 in Adelaide, with his team ending on 102-4 in reply to the host’s first innings score of 511-7 declared. Neser also went on to dismiss Shamarh Brooks, also getting him to edge behind to Alex Carey behind.
Neser, who last played a Test last year against England – also his debut – at the same venue, replaced Josh Hazlewood in the XI, after the latter was ruled out due to soreness.
