The 2025/26 Vijay Hazare Trophy got underway on Wednesday (December 24), marking the return of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma to India's premier List A tournament. Catch all the live scores and updates from the Round 1 matches here.
Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025/26: Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma return after years
Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, two stalwarts of Indian cricket who now play only one format internationally are featuring in the Vijay Hazare Trophy after a long time. Rohit Sharma last played the tournament in 2018, while Virat Kohli's previous appearance came 15 years back.
Mumbai - for whom Rohit plays - are taking on Sikkim at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur, while Delhi - Kohli's state side - are playing Andhra at the BCCI COE Ground 2, Bengaluru.
Alongside Kohli and Rohit, a host of other international cricketers have been picked by their respective state teams. Rishabh Pant is leading Delhi, which also features former India seamer Ishant Sharma. Mumbai is being led by Shardul Thakur, while Sai Sudharsan is the vice-captain for Tamil Nadu.

Live-streaming for select VHT matches will be available on the JioHotstar app and website, while the Star Sports network will telecast some of the games live on TV.
