Oval Invincibles will play in the women's Hundred Elminator

Oval Invincibles women will face London Spirit Women in a capital city derby at The Oval tomorrow (August 17), to decide who will face Welsh Fire in Sunday's (August 18) final. Here's who to back for the match.

Oval Invincibles are playing in their third final in the four years in which the Hundred has been played. They won the first two editions of the competition, beating Southern Brave in back-to-back finals to secure the trophy. However, last year they did not progress to the knockout stages, having fifth in the league stage. This is also only the second eliminator they will have played in, having advanced straight to the final in 2022.

As for London Spirit, this is the first time they have advanced to the knockout stages, with their previous best finish in the competition being fourth in 2021. They secured a vital seven-wicket win at Headingley earlier this week to stay in the competition. Oval Invincibles' win over Trent Rockets the following day secured their place in the Eliminator.

Women's Hundred Eliminator 2024: Who will win?

It's hard to back anyone other than the Oval Invincibles to win on home turf at The Oval in front of what will be a packed crowd. They've been in this position before and understand the task ahead. While they've lost one of their star overseas signings in Chamari Athapaththu, who's been called away on international duty, she hadn't had much of an impact in the tournament, with four single-figure scores in six games.

London Spirit have been up and down in the competition, having only just reached the knockouts with three losses from their eight games. Their captain Heather Knight has been their star with the bat, and has scored 211 runs in the competition so far. She formed a valuable partnership with Deepti Sharma against Northern Superchargers this week, who is also one of the top run scorers in the competition. Their bowling however, has been slightly lacking, with their seamers struggling to make an impact.

The best odds for an Oval Invincibles win tomorrow are from PariMatch, who have a 1.76 return for every pound betted. For those feeling positive about a Spirit upset, Stake and Rajabets are offering a 2.15 return on them spoiling the Invincibles' party.

Women's Hundred Eliminatory 2024: Who will be the team with the most boundaries?

Marizanne Kapp has been in stunning form with the bat for Oval Invincibles. She hasn't been dismissed in her last four innings, and has scored 101 runs in that time.

However, out of all the batters who will be playing, Sharma has the most sixes so far in the competition with five, while Spirit's Cordelia Griffith isn't far behind with four alongside Meg Lanning. With PariMatch offering a 3.14 return on London Spirit to be the side who hits the most sixes, that looks like a tempting offer.
