Watch: Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Virat Kohli lacked fluency in his 33-ball 30 against Chennai Super Kings barring a fine stroke over extra cover for a six during an IPL 2022 clash on Wednesday.

Kohli, who has been struggling for rhythm in this edition of the IPL, gave a small glimpse of how dangerous he can be on his night when he slapped a short and wide delivery over cover for a maximum, his only six of the night. The last ball of the fourth over by Simarjeet Singh saw the India batter transfer his weight expertly for a hit over the boundary rope, as RCB raced to 33-0 in the first four overs.

However, Kohli was unable to get going thereafter as he struck at less than run a ball before he was dismissed by Moeen Ali. Kohli, who has not made a single hundred in any form of cricket since November 2019, has made 216 runs in the ongoing IPL at an average of 21.60 at a strike rate of 111.91 with just four sixes.
