Watch: Royal Challenger Bangalore’s Virat Kohli was dismissed for his seventh IPL duck during a clash against Lucknow Super Giants on Tuesday.

The former India skipper’s woes continued after he was out for a golden duck in an IPL 2022 clash. Walking in to bat in the first over after Anuj Rawat was sent back by Dushmantha Chameera, Kohli fell first ball as he went after a short of a length delivery outside off stump. The 33-year-old failed to control the shot, the ball flying directly into the hands of Deepak Hooda at backward point.

Kohli walked back with a wry smile for a first-ball duck, his seventh duck in the history of the tournament and the first since 2017. Kohli, who is yet to score a hundred in any format since November 2019, has had a dismal run in the edition thus far, scoring 119 runs in seven innings at an average of 19.83 and a strike rate of 123.95. His knocks in IPL 2022 are: 41*, 12, 5, 48, 1, 12 and 0.

RCB scored 181-6 in their 20 overs courtesy of a fine 96 by skipper Faf du Plessis.
