Kohli, who struggled for momentum during his 33-ball 30, was cleaned up by Moeen with a sharp-turning delivery in the 10th over of RCB’s innings at Pune. Trying to play across the line, Kohli failed to make contact as the ball snuck in-between bat and pad.
Moeen has had previous success against Kohli: during England’s tour of India last year, the off-spinner clean bowled the 33-year-old twice, once in the second Test at Chennai and then in the third ODI at Pune.
Moeen has accounted for Kohli 10 times in international cricket – no bowler has taken the India batter’s wicket on more occasions across all three forms.
