Watch: David Warner produced an extraordinary stroke when facing Bhuvneshwar Kumar during the Delhi Capitals’ victory over the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Off the first ball of the 19th over, Warner decided to unfurl the switch hit, possibly in response to Bhuvneshwar and SRH having four fielders inside the circle on the off side. The seamer did well to arrow the ball at the Australian’s toes. Warner, though, showcased exemplary innovation to dab the ball past the fielder at fine leg, despite having switched his hands round. His remarkable dexterity helped fetch him a boundary.
Harsha Bhogle, who was on commentary, described it as the “cleverest shot of the day”, while gushing how Warner had managed to pull it off. Warner smashed his way to 92* off just 58 balls.
The Capitals posted 207-3 from their allotted 20 overs before completing a comfortable win.
