Watch: Yash Dhull, India’s 2022 Under-19 World Cup-winning captain, unleashed a ridiculous no-look stroke during a Delhi Capitals training session ahead of IPL 2022.
Dhull was one of three U19 players from the current India batch to earn an IPL contract, heading to Delhi at a price of INR 2 crore in the auction. Ahead of the tournament, teams have set up their practice camps, posting clips of players in action on social media.
One such clip has Dhull batting in the team nets, and nonchalantly lifting a bouncer over his stumps without giving the ball a look.
Dhull has enjoyed a fine few months in 2022, first leading India to their fifth Under-19 World Cup title, and following it with a sensational first-class debut. He scored 113 and 113* in his first game, and followed it with an unbeaten double-hundred two matches later. He averages 119.75 in three games so far, but is yet to make his professional T20 or List-A debut.
Going by the quality of the stroke, it won’t be long before he dons the Capitals kit.
