Playing the second game of his IPL career, Ravindra came out all guns blazing once again as CSK were put in to bat by Shubman Gill.
Having scored 37 off 15 on IPL and CSK debut against Royal Challengers Bengaluru a few days back, Ravindra backed it up with 46 off 20 today (March 26) against the Gujarat Titans.
He hit six fours and three sixes in his knock, batting at a strike rate of 230. With 83 runs from 35 balls in his first two games, Ravindra currently sits top on the list of fastest scorers in CSK history (minimum 35 balls faced).

At the five-over mark, CSK’s score read 58-0, forcing Gill to bring on his trump card Rashid Khan. Ravindra hit Rashid for a four first ball of the over, before being dismissed in bizarre fashion off the next ball.
A length ball on leg stump, Ravindra tried to punch it down straight, but got an inside edge that rolled along the ground behind him towards Wriddhiman Saha. Ravindra was blind-sighted and had no idea where the ball went. He took a step out, looking for a run, when he realised that Saha had gathered the ball. Ravindra’s attempt to get back in went in vain as Saha was quick enough to take the bails off.
