Ravindra’s poor run in the 2024 Indian Premier League continued as he fell to an in-nipper that broke the batter’s middle stump in Lucknow on Friday. Batting first, Chennai scored four in the first over against LSG before Mohsin was introduced into the attack.
Ravindra, facing his first ball of the game, looked to play a straight drive against the delivery that was pitched up. Ravindra, potentially thinking the ball would swing away, missed it completely as it came back in instead. The ball snuck through Ravindra’s bat-pad gap to strike the middle stump.
Ravindra, who scored 37 and 46 in his first two games has scores of 2, 12, 15, 21 and 0 in his last five innings in the competition.
