The fans have added a unique flavour to the IPL over the years, with their creativity amusing both viewers and the players. From thronging the stadiums with colourful ‘Malinga’ wings to copying Sunil Narine’s mohawk hairstyle, the spectators have always taken it to another level.
The Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru was hosting Punjab Kings, led by Dhawan, and a fake Dhawan soon appeared on TV cameras, leading to plenty of laughter among the commentators. The camera showed the real Dhawan soon after before going back to the doppelganger, which led to Kohli bursting out in laughter while fielding at the boundary ropes.
On commentary, Harsha Bhogle urged the real Dhawan to let out a smile as well, also hilariously wondering if the one in the stands could bat as well as the opener.
