RR vs PBKS: IPL 2024 team news
This will be the first of two matches Rajasthan Royals will host at Guwahati. RR have qualified for the playoffs, but they would want to ensure the security of a top-two finish. To guarantee that, they need either at least three points from their two games or expect Sunrisers Hyderabad to lose at least once.
Jos Buttler will not feature in the remainder of the season. RR are likely replace him with Kohler-Cadmore, who has not played a game in nearly to months, is yet to play at international cricket, and has a strike rate of 127 in 2024. On the other hand, Hetmyer is likely to return to the side.
RR are likely to go in with Kohler-Cadmore, Hetmyer, and Boult as their overseas cricketers and use the Impact Player judiciously to get a fourth one into the side.
Unlike RR, Punjab will have their English cricketers – Curran, Bairstow, Liam Livingstone – for at least tonight’s match. There is no update on Shikhar Dhawan’s availability, so Curran will continue to lead them.
