Rachin Ravindra – for CSK, vs RCB

Ravindra was picked for INR 1.8 crore after ensuring the world noticed him during a sensational 2023 ODI World Cup campaign. Bought by CSK in the auction in December, Ravindra made his IPL debut against RCB in the tournament opener in Chennai and made a quickfire 37 in 15 balls.

Angkrish Raghuvanshi – for KKR, vs RCB

The 18-year-old was bought for INR 20 lakh by Kolkata in the auction. India’s highest run-scorer in the 2022 under-19 World Cup, Raghuvanshi did not get an opportunity to bat in his debut game against RCB. He, however, made an impression in his debut IPL innings, against Delhi. Promoted to No.3, Raghuvanshi made 54 off 27 in KKR’s score of 272.

Naman Dhir – for MI, vs GT

Mumbai Indians picked Dhir despite him having a T20 average of 9.75 ahead of the IPL. He showed why when he left the franchise impressed with a 10-ball 20 against Gujarat Titans in his debut game. He also made 30 in 14 in the next game.

Ashutosh Sharma – for PBKS, vs GT

Sharma played a stellar knock in his debut match, combining with Shashank Singh to chase down 200 against Gujarat after his team was 150-6 in 15.3 overs. Batting at No.8, Sharma made 31 in 17, helping Punjab to a memorable win.

Azmatullah Omarzai – for GT, vs MI

The Afghan all-rounder Omarzai picked up 2-27 in his IPL debut game against Mumbai Indians and also scored 17 with the bat.

Sameer Rizvi – for CSK, vs RCB

Rizvi, who was in the news after he was bought for INR 8.4 crore by CSK, did not bat in his debut game but made 14 against Gujarat, hitting a six off the first ball he faced, off Rashid Khan.

Saurav Chauhan – for RCB, vs RR

Chauhan played as an Impact Player against Rajasthan but could not leave an impact, making just nine.

Sumit Kumar – for DC, vs PBKS

Sumit, a seam-bowling all-rounder, did not pick up a wicket in his maiden outing and gave away 19 runs in eight balls.

Shubham Dubey – for RR, vs MI

Dubey, a left-handed batter, made an unbeaten eight in his debut IPL match against Mumbai.

Gerald Coetzee – for MI, vs GT

The promising South African quick played his first IPL game this year against Gujarat and ended with 2-27.

Spencer Johnson – for GT, vs MI

The tall Australian fast bowler Johnson, picked up 2-25 in his maiden IPL game.

Shams Mulani – for MI, vs GT

Mulani, a regular for Mumbai in domestic cricket did not pick up a wicket in his maiden IPL game, finishing with 0-24.

Nandre Burger – for RR, vs LSG

Burger, another talented quick from South Africa, picked up 1-30 on debut and got five more scalps in his next four outings.

Kumar Kushagra – for DC, vs MI

Kushagra, the second-highest paid uncapped player in IPL 2024, did not have a memorable outing and was out first ball on debut.

Kwena Maphaka – for MI, vs SRH

Maphaka made his debut against Sunrisers when they made 277. He conceded 66 in his four overs.

BR Sharath – for GT, vs LSG

Sharath replaced Robin Minz in the 2024 IPL and made his debut against LSG.

Mayank Yadav – for LSG, vs PBKS

The league’s second-fastest Indian bowler impressed in the very first game, hitting the 155kph mark against Punjab. He also bagged three scalps.
