The IPL auction is round the corner. With the retention deadline passed and the trading window about to close (December 12), all ten teams are gearing up for what promises to be an action-packed mini-auction.

Among the big names, the scouting groups of each team would have done a lot of work in the background to identify youngsters who could potentially make a mark. Here’s a look at some of the Under-19 players who could be picked in the IPL 2024 auction.

IPL 2024 auction: U19 players to look out for

Kumar Kushagra

A right-handed wicketkeeper-batter from Jharkhand, Kushagra has been a rising star in Indian domestic cricket. He was part of India’s squad in the 2020 Under-19 World Cup and has already played for Jharkhand in all three formats.

Arshin Kulkarni

Kulkarni is a seam-bowling all-rounder from Maharashtra who shot into limelight in the inaugural edition of the Maharashtra Premier League earlier this year with a century and a four-for in the same match. All of 18, he is currently among the brightest young prospects in India.

Musheer Khan

The younger brother of Sarfaraz Khan, Musheer recently smashed an unbeaten 127 off just 47 deliveries in the Quadrangular U-19 series featuring India U19 A, India U19 B, Bangladesh U19, and England U19. Having already made his first-class debut for Mumbai at only 17, Musheer will be one of the Under-19 players to look out for in the IPL 2024 auction.

Angkrish Raghuvanshi

Raghuvanshi was the fourth-highest run-scorer at the 2022 Under-19 World Cup and the highest among Indians. Born in Delhi, the 18-year-old has already made his senior T20 debut for Mumbai in domestic cricket and will have eyes on him at the IPL 2024 auction.

Aaradhya Yadav

A right-handed wicketkeeper-batter who was part of India’s squad in the 2022 Under-19 World Cup, Aaradhya has made his first-class and List A debuts for Uttar Pradesh, and has also been a part of Delhi Capitals’ DC Cricket Academy.
