Against Sikkim in the 2024 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Baroda smashed a record 349-5, the highest total ever recorded in professional men's T20 cricket.
Opting to bat first, Shashwat Rawat (43 off 16 balls) and Abhimanyusingh Rajput (53 off 17) gave Baroda a flying start before the latter departed off the first ball of the sixth over with their score a 92-1. They soon crossed the 100-run mark one ball later, becoming only the second Indian side after Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) to achieve the landmark in the powerplay. In IPL 2024, Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head scored 125 for SRH, the record powerplay score in T20 history.
The blitzkrieg continued with Baroda crossing 300 in 17.2 overs, becoming the first Indian side to do so. They went past India's 297-6 against Bangladesh in October. No.3 Bhanu Pania scored an unbeaten 51-ball 134. His innings was studded with 15 sixes and five fours. Pania was well supported by Shivalik Sharma (55 off 17) and Vishnu Solanki (50 off 16) as Baroda finished their innings on a record 349-5. Baroda's 37 sixes is the most in a T20 total, surpassing Zimbabwe's 27 against Gambia this year.

Highest team totals in T20s
Baroda's massive score against Sikkim is the highest total in men's T20s. However, Argentina women hold the record across genders with a total of 427-1 made during their Chile tour last year. They also own the fourth (333-1) and the ninth highest (300-6) scores, all notched up in the same series.
India are the only team to feature on the list with runs against a Full Member nation. Their 297-6 against Bangladesh earlier this year ranks tenth. Zimbabwe scored 344-4 against Gambia this year in the Sub Regional Africa Qualifier for the 2026 T20 World Cup. The total is placed third on the list.
