India will take on Sri Lanka in a three-match ODI series beginning on January 10 — here’s where you can watch IND vs SL 2023 live, along with streaming, broadcast and TV details.
India won the three-match T20I series at the start of the year against Sri Lanka 2-1 under the leadership of Hardik Pandya. India’s regular captain Rohit Sharma missed the series due to injury while Virat Kohli and KL Rahul were rested after they played the Tests against Bangladesh in late December. All three senior players will return for the ODIs as preparations begin for the World Cup, scheduled at home this October.
The BCCI had named Jasprit Bumrah, who was in the squad with a back injury since September, but he has now been ruled out, with the BCCI deciding to rest the pacer ahead of the gruelling four-match Tests against Australia next month.
On the other hand, Sri Lanka will be led by Dasun Shanaka, who also captained the team in the T20Is. Pathum Nissanka, Nuwanidu Fernando and Ashen Bandara have been selected as batters in the squad while Lahiru Kumara and Wanindu Hasaranga will lead the bowling.
The first ODI will be played in Guwahati before the action shifts to Kolkata and Thiruvananthapuram. The remaining two games will be played on January 12 and January 15.
