Over the years Sri Lanka have made several trips to Australia with limited success. One of their most memorable visits was their 2010 trip when they won a thrilling ODI series, while the 2017 tour when they won the T20I series 2-1 was another series to cherish.
Australia are not quite at full strength, missing out on both David Warner and Mitchell Marsh who have been rested prior to the Pakistan Tests. Sri Lanka on the other hand have been dealt a blow after Kusal Mendis tested positive for Covid-19 three days prior to the start of the series. He is likely to be unavailable for the first two games.

The first two games will be played at the Sydney Cricket Ground, the third contest will be played at Manuka Oval, while the final two matches will be contested at Melbourne Cricket Ground.
