South Africa debutant Corbin Bosch joined an exclusive set of players to take a wicket off their first ball in Test cricket, dismissing Shan Masood on the opening day of the South Africa-Pakistan Boxing Day Test.
Bosch, the right-arm quick who came in to bowl after the drinks break, drew first blood with the wicket of Pakistan captain Shan Masood. He became the fifth bowler from South Africa to achieve the feat.
Earlier this year, Tshepo Moreki became the 24th cricketer and the fourth South African (after Bert Vogler, Dane Piedt, and Hardus Viljoen) to take a wicket with his first ball in Test cricket.
