Having already thrilled viewers with his exploits with the bat earlier in the series, South Africa youngster Tristan Stubbs produced a moment of magic in the field during the visitors’ series-clinching thrashing at the Ageas Bowl.
South Africa ran out as comfortable victors, winning the third T20I by 90 runs. The Proteas’ 191-5 off their 20 overs proved far too much for England, who were never really in the run chase.
Stubbs’ catch took place with South Africa well on top, with England on 59-3 in the 10th over.
Moeen Ali spooned a leading edge into the off side off the bowling of Aiden Markram which Stubbs raced towards to intercept and pluck out of the air with a stunning one-handed diving catch.
England were eventually bowled out for 101 as Tabraiz Shamsi picked up a five-wicket haul.
