Ahead of the SA20 player auction for the 2025 season on October 1, here is the full list of players who have registered for the auction.

A total of 198 players (115 South African, 73 overseas) will go under the hammer ahead of the 2025 season. Competition for players is sure to be fierce, as there are only 13 slots remaining across the six teams.

Several overseas stars have registered for the auction, including New Zealand's Martin Guptill, Pakistan's Naseem Shah, Hasan Mahmud of Bangladesh, Kamindu Mendis of Sri Lanka and West Indies' Shamar Joseph. International rookies Josh Hull (England) and Chamindu Wickramasinghe (Sri Lanka) have also entered the auction. Jewel Andrew and Shaqkere Parris are two other youngsters who might catch the eye.

Several South Africa internationals are also available to be signed – Tony de Zorzi, Reeza Hendricks and Temba Bavuma are the three biggest names. Domestic players are available to be signed through the Rookie draft, where players aged 22 and under on the day of the auction who have not previously signed an SA20 contract can be drafted in a separate round.

U19 World Cup squad members Tristan Luus, Dewan Marais, Richard Seletswane and Juan James lead the list of rookies, who will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Kwena Maphaka and Lhuan-dre Pretorius, who secured contracts last season.

League commissioner Graeme Smith said, "“Some of the biggest names on the international T20 circuit have already signed up for season 3 and I am looking forward to see how the teams finalise their squads from this competitive auction list of players.”
