Darren Stevens inspired Kent to victory in their Royal London One-Day Cup semi-final against Hampshire, hitting an unbeaten 84 off 65 balls in a chase of 311 at the Ageas Bowl.
The veteran all-rounder came in with his side 176-4 in the 31st over, going on to hit 11 fours and three sixes in his match-winning effort.
Earlier in the match Stevens had bowled 10 wicketless overs for 45 runs, making him the most economical of Kent’s bowlers.
Stevens will now have the chance to end his Kent white-ball career with a trophy; earlier this month the county announced their decision to release the 46-year-old at the end of the season.

Stevens intends to keep playing county cricket next season, but before then will come a 50-over final at Trent Bridge on September 17 against Lancashire.
