The first round of the 2024 Ranji Trophy got underway on Friday, October 11. Here are the latest updates from Round 1.
This season of the competition will have more than a few big names taking part. The likes of Ajinkya Rahane, Prithvi Shaw and Shreyas Iyer will all turn out for defending champions Mumbai, who take on Baroda in their opening fixture.
Other Indian Test players set to be in action are Mayank Agarwal (Karnataka), Jaydev Unadkat (Saurashtra) and Ishan Kishan (Jharkhand). Ruturaj Gaikwad, Tilak Varma and R Sai Kishore will lead Maharashtra, Hyderabad and Tamil Nadu respectively.

Gujarat beat Hyderabad by 126 runs
Gujarat have bowled Hyderabad out for 170 on day four to win by 126 runs.
Priyajitsingh Jadeja and Rinkesh Vaghela have taken three wickets each.
Defending champions go down in first round
Mumbai have been bowled out for 177 on day four, handing Baroda victory by 84 runs their round one fixture.
Bhargav Bhatt is the star, with 6-55.
Gurjapneet leads TN to innings victory
Left-arm pacer Gurjapneet Singh has taken a staggering 6-22 on Ranji debut to bowl Tamil Nadu to victory by an innings and 70 runs over Saurashtra.
Unadkat shines with six-for
Left-arm seamer and Saurashtra captain Jaydev Unadkat has led from the front, taking 6-61 to help bowl Tamil Nadu out for 367.
Railways record massive win
Railways have bowled out Chandigarh for 159 in their second innings to register a 181-run win. Akash Pandey has taken 4-46.
Bengal take first-innings lead over UP
Bengal have taken a narrow 19-run lead over Uttar Pradesh in Lucknow, by bowling them out for 292.
Shahbaz Ahmed and Mukesh Kumar have taken four wickets apiece.
Mumbai run through Baroda
Mumbai have given themselves a real chance of forcing a victory, as Tanush Kotian has taken three wickets to leave Baroda 73-6, leading by 149 runs.
Haryana secure innings victory on day two
In a stunning result, Haryana have bowled Bihar out for 133 on day two to record an innings victory, led by Jayant Yadav's 5-57.
Result: Bihar 78 & 133 lost to Haryana 254 by an innings and 43 runs
Shaw, Iyer, Rahane fall cheaply
India Test players Prithvi Shaw (7), Shreyas Iyer (0) and Ajinkya Rahane (29) have all been dismissed cheaply as Mumbai trail Baroda by 138 runs.

Railways take first-innings lead
Despite being bowled out for 142, Railways have hit back to skittle Chandigarh for 109 and take a first-innings lead.
They have started batting again, on the morning session of day two.
