The leading wicket-taker for every season of the PSL is awarded the Maroon Cap and the Fazal Mahmood Award, named after Pakistan’s first great bowler.
The previous winners are Sohail Khan (2017), Faheem Ashraf (2018), Hassan Ali (2019), Shaheen Shah Afridi (2020 and 2022), Shahnawaz Dahani (2021), Abbas Afridi (2023), and Usama Mir (2024). Hassan’s 2019 record of 25 wickets remains a season record for the league.
PSL 2026 Maroon Cap: Top wicket-takers after IU vs RWP
Hasan Ali has taken the top spot, getting to eight wickets in just three games, and is followed by Abrar Ahmed with six in three. Salman Irshad entered the top 10 following his outing against Rawalpindiz.
