The leading run-scorer for every season of the PSL is awarded the Green Cap and the Hanif Mohammad Award, named after Pakistan’s first great batter.
The previous winners of this award are Kamran Akmal (2017), Luke Ronchi (2018), Shane Watson (2019), Babar Azam (2020, 2021, and 2024), Fakhar Zaman (2022), and Mohammad Rizwan (2023). Fakhar’s 2022 record of 588 runs remains a season record for the league.

Sameer Minhas rose to the top of the PSL top run-scorers list with back-to-back fifties. Daryl Mitchell also entered the top five.
