Babar Azam was dismissed for a duck by Mohammad Amir in the second match of PSL 2025 between Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi.
Leading Peshawar Zalmi, Babar Azam won the toss and elected to field first in Rawalpindi. Quetta started well with the bat, Finn Allen and Saud Shakeel both scoring fifties and stitching an 88-run opening partnership. With cameos from Rilee Rossouw (21 off 10) and Kusal Mendis (35 off 14), they were able to post an imposing 216-3.
In response, Babar walked out to open the innings with Saim Ayub. Left-arm quick Mohammad Amir took the new ball for Quetta and broke through straightaway, dismissing Babar with the last ball of the first over.
Who has the most ducks in PSL?
Amir bowled a length ball outside off that held up on the surface as Babar's tentative push went straight to Rossouw at cover. This was Babar's ninth duck in the PSL, going past Kamran Akmal's tally of eight.
Imad Wasim has been dismissed for zero on 12 occasions in the PSL, the most for any batter.
Peshawar suffered a mini-collapse following Babar's wicket as Mohammad Haris (13 off 8) and Tom Kohler-Cadmore (0 off 2) also fell inside the powerplay, both to Abrar Ahmed in the fourth over.
