Quetta are currently third in the points table, and a win would take to second place, behind only Islamabad United. Their batting has so far been dependent on Kusal Mendis and Rilee Rossouw, though there have been contributions from Finn Allen, Mohammad Nawaz, and captain Saud Shakeel as well. The bowling, headed by Abrar Ahmed, Mohammad Amir, and Faheem Ashraf, bear a formidable look.
The struggling Multan, on the other hand, are languishing at the bottom of the points table, and need at least a couple of wins to stay in the hunt for playoffs. Captain Mohammad Rizwan has done the bulk of the scoring, while Kamran Ghulam and Usman Khan have both chipped in, but their bowling has let them down. With a five-over cut-off, no MS bowler has kept it to under nine and over. Barring Ubaid Shah and Michael Bracewell, everyone has had an economy of at least ten.
